today, panzer asked me "what's that on your nose, mommy?"

it was a booger.  at least i know i won't be allowed out of the house looking foolish.

today, panzer fell in love with the bounce house.

(which apparently is only $100 for a 24-hour rental.  mommy is storing this information in her back pocket for the next time she needs a nap!)

today, panzer asked for some medicine because mohs had some.  sneaky mommy gave him a cup full of juice out of the minced garlic jar.

today, panzer insisted on an apron.

today, panzer gave mohs some gas.

the next best thing to riding is pushing!  they make a great team.

today, panzer wished mommy a happy birthday a million times.  (he knows that cake is at least tangientally related to birthdays...)  he even let me almost kiss him.

today, panzer was actually polite.

today, panzer practiced for when i ship him off to grandma's.

today, panzer impressed me.  he has been able to count to ten for a looong time (when he feels like it).  however, rather than count, today, he grabbed mohs' cup from him and ran up to me yelling "mommy!  i have two cups!"  he actually understands what two means, and not just the word that comes after one.

today, panzer had his first taco night.

i'm not sure what's best ... blaming mohs for the mess or offering to eat food off the floor.

helicopter birds

today, panzer discovered hummingbirds.

here is the conversation as it was reported to me:

panzer:  look at these little helicopters!
my boss:  those are called humingbirds.
panzer:  no!  they are helicopter birds.

smartest.  baby.  ever.

today, panzer completed his first 2k.  it took a speedy 41 minutes for him to half-bike, half-walk, back track, stop for cars, look at the "dirty" (verde) river, wave at his fans, etc. and finally cross the finish line.

but he is one of the stars of the online verde independent gallery for the loven family run (benefitting the local hospice organization).

today, panzer was the center of the sandwich.

today, panzer tried mushrooms again, even after telling me they were yucky.  they were a hit, sauteed -- better than daddy can do with them!

P is not a picky eater.  he thinks things are yucky, usually only when there is a cupcake lurking in the background.

today, panzer grabbed mohs around the waist, held him tight and screamed "no, this my brother mohs!"

cute!  but the panzer death grip is also worrisome on my little baby (though to be fair, mohs is probably <10 pounds down from P).  thankfully, i was able to extricate mohs safely a few minutes later when the passion died down.
